Da Bronx [2/2]
I just got back from Toronto, Canada this morning, getting up at 4.30 in the morning to make a 7am flight. (Thanks to the French maid for putting me up and putting up with me). This weekend, the city was cold and overcast, and, perhaps as a result, the streets felt somewhat desolate. But then, New York isn't always bustling. These pictures show the calm before the storm, taken the morning of the New York City marathon, about 15 minutes before the first wheelchair competitor announced the beginning of the masses of people who would soon(er or later) pass. One interesting bit of trivia about Canada, it is apparently, per capita, the largest consumer of donuts in the world.
