Thanksgiving Parade [9/9]
I'm not sure if you can post a series for photofriday, but here's my entry for this week's theme of childhood. Photos of the Thanksgiving Day Parade balloons being staged the day before on the Upper West Side. It was the first time I've been even though I've lived in the city for so long. I arrived at dusk and watched the skies darken as I made my way around the block, shuffling along the increasingly crowded sidewalks. The next day I left for Budapest.
