thanks martin! happy new year to you as well! and i just noticed that i was off center just a touch on three. but somehow it doesn't really bother me so much. how were your holidays?

I saw Coppelia there the first time I went to Paris. I got tickets the same day, and my seat was literally in the very highest possible row - I had a pretty good view of that ceiling. ;)

It's basically about a doll named Coppelia. She's so life-like that a girl and a young man in the village think she's real. Various events are mis-interpreted and mis-understood, and the young girl ends up trading places with Coppelia, making the doctor who created Coppelia think that his doll creation has come to life. Everything is set right in the end, and the young man, who originally was in love with the doll, realizes he's actually in love with the girl.
