Four Weeks in Ethiopia
Apologies for not posting the past few days. I've been working on assembling a site of my photos from Ethiopia. The country was amazing, from the 17th century castles of Gondar to the rock-hewn churches of Lalibella. In Harar I fed wild hyenas and in Axum saw the chapel reported to hold the Ark of the Covenant. Some say people will burst into flame if they get too close to the Ark but nothing so Indiana Jones occurred while we were in town. In the Simien Mountains, I gazed in wonder at the landscape (it was as if Monument Valley were rising out of a verdant Grand Canyon) as Gelada baboons foraged for food nearby.
